The Blood in the urine is known as “hematuria” it can be a symptom that has no apparent cause and generally goes away without any treatment, but sometimes it may be a serious medical condition.

Nearly all the people who get noticed get pretty scared and get depressed. The best way is to get a doctor’s appointment as he can identify the exact cause of hematuria and if required may give specific treatment.

In some people, hematuria is not even noticeable, and blood with urine is discovered accidentally when examining conditions is normal.

1. Kidney Infection: One of the common causes of blood in urine is because of Kidney Infection, when bacteria enter the kidney can cause infection. Common symptoms found are pain, fever, and blood in the urine.

2. Urinary Tract Infections: It is an infection that is common in women; it takes place when bacteria enter the body and spread in the bladder. Common symptoms of this can include pain, burning, and blood in the urine.

3. Bladder Stones: When the crystallization of minerals present in urine in the bladder form stones, can cause blood in the urine.

4. Kidney Stones: When minerals in the urine crystallize and form small hard deposits in the kidney results in kidney stones. It can cause extreme pain and can affect large or microscopic hematuria.

5. Kidney Injury: Sometimes an injury in the kidney from any accident can result in bloody urine.

6. Cancer: The symptoms of cancer in the kidney, bladder, or prostate may also result in bloody urine.

7. Exercises: Sometimes vigorous exercise or forceful exercise sessions can cause hematuria.

8. Medications: Certain medications sometimes get a side effect that damages the body and can result due to blood in the urine.

What is the best natural remedy for blood in urine?

1. Eating fruits like tomatoes, papaya, melon, raspberries, guava, kiwi, kiwi, oranges, bananas, and lemons can be beneficial.

2. A glass of white gourd juice mixed with the juice of sugar cane should be given every day.

3. Drinking fresh Amla juice daily can be helpful.

4. Pomegranate juice is also very helpful in curing haematuria, drink pomegranate juice one glass thrice a day.

Ayurvedic Home Remedies for Urinary Tract Infections

  • Cinnamon or dalchini, one teaspoonful (5 g), thrice a day has antiseptic activity. It should be given for three weeks. It can be consumed by sprinkling it on the salad also.
  • Gokshuradi-guggul is the drug of choice in treating dysuria. One tablet is given with six teaspoonfuls (30 ml) of Gokshura-quatha, twice a day.
  • Lashuna (Garlic) is remarkably effective at micro-organisms causing cystitis. Consuming 2 to 3 fresh a day can be helpful.
  • Chandraprabha-vati, two tablets three times a day, is helpful in reducing the burning sensation. Once relief is there, one tablet twice a day should be consumed for seven more days to prevent a recurrence.
  • Chandrakala rasa is the drug of choice for treating haematuria. One tablet, thrice a day is given for severe cases. In mild haematuria, one tablet twice a day is recommended. Prolonged use should be avoided.
  • Chandanasva, six teaspoonfuls (30 ml), with an equal quantity of water, is highly efficacious in preventing bleeding from the urinary tract.
  • Compound tragacanth powder, one teaspoonful (5g), thrice a day is helpful in healing ulcers caused by scratching of the organ by stones. It contains goond katira (tragacanth) 150 g, babool goond (acacia) 200g, starch 200 g, and sugar 450 g. All these ingredients should be finely powdered and mixed in a uniform pattern.
  • Yava-kshara or potassium bicarbonate (it is prepared by burning Apamarga) acts as a renal alkalinize. The dose of Yava-ksahara should be prepared by an expert Ayurvedic Physician.
  • Alternatively, decoction of poonarnava in a dose of three teaspoonfuls (15 ml) is a good diuretic.

Diet & Precautions

  • Six to eight glasses of water a day are a must.
  • Alcohol and coffee should be forbidden.
  • The urge for urination should not be suppressed.
  • If a patient has recurrent attacks of cystitis, he or she must consult a doctor for proper treatment.
  • Fluid intake should be more.
  • Shali variety of rice, roasted green grams, cow milk, mango, cucumber, cardamom, and isabgol is beneficial.
  • Peas, curd, white grams, hing or asafoetida, boiled vegetables, bananas, and intercourse are contraindicated.

Ayurvedic Medicine Urinary Tract Infections

Ayurvedic medicine called “Yavakshara”: It is helpful; it is an alkali mixture made of Yava or barley containing potassium bicarbonate. It is beneficial in the treatment of intestinal diseases, and urinary problems. The dose of Yavaksahara should be used by an expert Ayurvedic Physician.

Ayurvedic Medicine called “Tragacanth powder”: Is beneficial, one teaspoonful or 5g thrice a day is helpful in healing ulcers resulting in scratches of the organ by kidney stones.

Ayurvedic medicine called “chandanasava” : It is helpful in urinary disorders and kidney diseases. Take six teaspoonfuls or about 30 ml with an equal quantity of water. It is highly advantageous in preventing bleeding from the urinary tract.

Dalchini (Cinnamon): It has antiseptic activity, taking one teaspoonful or 5 g, thrice a day for three weeks can be useful. It can be eaten by sprinkling it on the salad as well.

Ayurvedic medicine called “Gokshuradi Churna”: It is also helpful for treating dysuria. Taking 2 grams of honey, once or twice a day before or after food is useful.

Ayurvedic medicine called “Chandrakala rasa”: It is best for treating haematuria. Take one tablet, thrice a day in serious cases, and one tablet twice a day is recommended for normal. Prolonged use of this medicine should be avoided.

Ayurvedic medicine called “Chandra Prabha vati”: It is also helpful for treating urinary tract disorders like UTI,  taking two tablets three times a day can be beneficial in reducing the burning sensation. As soon as one gets relief one should consume one tablet twice a day for seven more days to prevent a recurrence.

Lastly, a decoction made of “poonarnava herb”: It also beneficial as it promotes the health of the urinary tract as well as helps to maintain well-organized kidney function. A dose of three teaspoonfuls of 15 ml can be taken.

Do’s and Don’ts

Sexual intercourse should be avoided and the patient should drink plenty of fluids.
