Ayurvedic Medicine For Snoring


Snoring is a common condition that can affect all people at any age, but occurs more frequently in men and people who are overweight. Snoring has a capacity to worsen with age. Snoring occurs when the flow of air through the mouth and nose is physically blocked. It is the vibration of respiratory structures and the resulting sound, due to blocked air movement during breathing while sleeping.

Ginger: It is very beneficial and effective in the treatment of respiratory problems. The intake of ginger juice helps to wet the throat increasing the production of saliva. This natural remedy is to soothe the throat and help you stop snoring.

Honey: Taking a spoonful of honey will help to soothe the throat. You can mix the ginger juice and honey and drink this for the treatment of throat congestion. This remedy will not only help in treating throat, but other cold symptoms. Take the mixture of honey with ginger is a good natural home remedy to stop snoring.

Wild yam: This Ayurvedic plant has anti-inflammatory properties that help in treating throat problems and what stops snoring.

Amla: This is a rich source of vitamin C, which is very essential to enhance immunity. Regular consumption of Amla reduces the frequency of catching a cold and a throat infection.

Lemon: This also contains a good source of vitamin C. Drinking lemon juice is good for treating respiratory problems.

Holy basil: This is full of  immune booster, Drink decoction of this plant will assist in preventing and treating the symptoms of cold and throat infection.

Home Remedies for Snoring:

1) Smoking is likely to cause nasal congestion, thus may leading to snoring problem. The best way to stop snoring is to stop smoking.

2) Alcohol can also be responsible for causing snoring. Reduce the consumption of alcohol intake and that will take care of your snoring problem too.

3) Side sleeping decrease snoring it is the best home remedy for snoring.

4) Drink half a glass of milk before going to bed  is also effective home remedy for snoring.

5) Drinking eucalyptus tea, Soak 2 teaspoons of eucalyptus leaves to a cup of boiling water, drain and drink to stop snoring. This is another well known effective home remedy for snoring.

6) When you sleep, you should have your head in the raised position. This will take the strain on your air passage when sleep and help you stop snoring.

7) Snoring can lead to sleep disorder called severe apnea. Other medical actions or even surgery may be done if the home remedies for snoring just does not work.

8) Do not eat foods high in fat or salt.

9) Do not eat or drink right before going to bed.

10) Prohibit the pillow completely because when you sleep on a pillow it bends the neck and do not allow air to flow easily.
